Alongside Milan Fashion Week, which took place September 17th-23rd, the third edition of the Green Carpet Fashion Awards brought together leading fashion players committed to preventing waste of materials and preserving the environment.
Considered the "Sustainable Fashion Oscar", the party is promoted by the Italian federation of designers, the Camera della Moda. This year, all guests were welcomed into a Renaissance- green painted Piazza della Scala created by Vogue's international editor Hamish Bowles.
The ceremony featured a green carpet where celebrities posed for cameras and waved to the public. As expected, the floral arrangement was made entirely of recycled plastic, disguised by vine leaves illustrations.
Among the guests were celebrities and fashion designers, such as Rodrigo Doxandabarat from DOTZ, a Brazilian brand of unisex shoes that carries handmade DNA, classic elements, sustainable material and socially-oriented workmanship.
