Amanda Engler is a beach expert. Born in Ilhabela, on the north coast of São Paulo, sand, sun and sea have always been present in her daily life, as well as a natural gift for creating and composing dress styles.
At age 18, she moved to São Paulo, where she studied fashion at Senac. There, she already showed her inclination for the beach fashion, which was the subject of her final coursework - a collection comprising elaborate conceptual items, suitable for both sands and catwalks.
In 2013, she moved to Rio, where she worked first at Animale and then at Blue Man where she was able to put some of her ideas into practice and learned more about the processes that make the beachwear industry work.
With a growing desire to do something more originative and free, Amanda left Blue Man in early 2014 to dedicate herself to the creation of the first Salga collection, which has just been born.
